Biomedical Engineer Responsibilities and Duties in the GCC
- Install, calibrate, test, and maintain medical equipment across ICUs, operating theaters, and diagnostic wards.
- Perform scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and electrical safety testing per IEC 60601 / NFPA 99.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning biomedical devices, managing spare parts inventory and vendor service contracts.
- Train clinical staff (doctors, nurses, technicians) on the safe and effective operation of complex medical devices.
- Maintain comprehensive medical device asset registers using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ensure hospital biomedical services comply with JCI accreditation and local health authority regulations.

- 3–6 years of biomedical engineering experience in a recognized hospital or medical equipment distributor in the GCC.
- Manufacturer training certificates (GE, Philips, Siemens, Dräger) are an asset.
- Licensed / registered with local engineering council (SCE / UAE Society of Engineers).
