BIM Modeler Job Description Template (Middle East & GCC)
BIM Modelers create detailed 3D digital representations of buildings and infrastructure projects across the Middle East. Operating under ISO 19650 standards for landmark developments and giga-projects, they develop parametric models (LOD 300 to LOD 500), perform cross-disciplinary clash resolution, and generate clash-free construction and fabrication shop drawings.

BIM Modeler Responsibilities and Duties in the GCC
- Develop accurate 3D architectural, structural, or MEP BIM models using Autodesk Revit in accordance with the Project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
- Conduct multi-disciplinary clash detection runs using Navisworks Manage and resolve spatial coordination conflicts.
- Extract 2D construction drawings, schedules, and Quantity Take-Offs (QTO) directly from coordinated BIM models.
- Maintain common data environment (CDE) workflows on platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360) and Procore.
- Generate As-Built BIM models (LOD 500) integrated with asset data for facility management handover.
- Ensure family creation and modeling conventions conform to project-specific BIM standards and client mandates (e.g. Dubai Municipality / Red Sea Global).

Experience, Licensing & Educational Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit / Navisworks) preferred.
- 3–6 years of hands-on BIM modeling experience on high-rise, mixed-use, or infrastructure projects in the GCC.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex clash-free model coordination.
